The boy in striped pyjamas

The book we are going to review today is, 'The boy in striped pyjamas' written by John Boyne.

John Boyne is an Irish author of 17 books in which 11 are adult books and 6 children's books. To mention a few books, 'The house is haunted', 'Next of Kin', 'The heart's invisible furies' and his latest book, 'My brother's name is Jessica' published in 2019.

This plot is narrated by a nine-year-old boy, Bruno when he is forced to move out of his Berlin house to Out-With leaving his 'three best friends for life' behind because of his father's transfer.

He gets curious in knowing about what lies on the opposite side of the fence and who the people on the other side of the fence are but to his dismay neither his parents nor his sister is keen to answer his queries.

He sets out on an exploration and finds a boy in striped pyjamas on the other side of the fence and quickly befriends him. The plot leads us on an emotional journey of the boys.

Will Bruno find his answers? Who are those people? Will the boys have a happy ending? Read the book to find out.  I suggest this book if you are interested in historical fiction or if you are up for an emotional rollercoaster.
