The Starless Sea

  The book we would be reviewing today is 'The starless Sea' penned by Erin Morgenstern.  Erin Morgenstern is an American multimedia artist and the author of the two most famous fantasy novels, 'The night circus' and 'The Starless Sea'.   Grab your copy here The story follows Zachary Ezra Rawlins, a graduate student who discovers a book with no name. As he reads the book, he gets obsessed with it after finding a story from his childhood in the book. The book also includes a lot of other breath-taking stories about a place called the starless sea. It is a tale that will absorb you and make you forget your surroundings.  'A boy at the beginning of the story has no way of knowing that the story has begun' is an extract from the book which describes to us that we possibly cannot have any idea that our story has already begun when it is just getting started.  'Everyone is a part of a story, what they want is to be a part of something worth recording'

Lovely War

  The book we shall be reviewing today is 'Lovely War' penned by Julie Berry. It is a historical fiction set in the time of world war I. It also includes a little Greek mythology in it.  Julie Berry is a children's and YA whose other works include, 'All the truth that's in me', 'The passion of Dolssa', 'The Amaranth Enchantment'.  Grab your copy here Lovely war is a story of two couples 'Hazel and James', and 'Aubrey and Colette'. Their stories are narrated by the Greek Goddess of love, Aphrodite. It is a sweeping tale of love, loss, friendship and war. 'How did one nation produce both humble souls and killers?' is an extract from the book, which describes to us that there are both kind and criminal people in a country. Never judge a country by observing just one person. 'I envy the mortals. It's because they're weak and damaged that they can love,' is an extract from that book that describes that we humans

The Red Button

  The book we shall be reviewing today is 'The red button' penned by Keith Eldred. It is historical fiction, a prequel to A Christmas carol by Charles Dickens. Keith Eldred has started the This is Red project along with his wife, Janet, to publish 20 books in the year 2020, and all the money earned through these books would go to Hollidaysburg Area Public Library.
