Tell me what you see


The book that we shall be reviewing today is,' Tell me what you see' by Zoran Drvenkar. It is a teen gothic horror fiction.


Zoran Drvenkar is a Croatian- Greman novelist and is the author of other books namely 'Sorry', 'You', 'Still'. 


The story takes place in Berlin, Germany and is narrated in many points of views but all say the story of the teenage girl Alissa. 


On Christmas night, Alissa and her best friend Evelin sneak out of the house to visit her father's grave. They get lost in the cemetery due to heavy snowfall and Alissa finds the coffin of a young boy in a crypt. She notices a purple plant growing out of the boy's chest and is attracted to it.  Exiting the cemetery Alissa senses that she has new powers.


Simon is Alissa's ex-boyfriend and stalks her even after their breakup. He starts behaving oddly and this creeps out both Alissa and Evelin.


Evelin is Alissa's best friend and is very loyal to her. She is always there for her best friend when needed. Would she be able to save her best friend from her new powers and her stalking ex?


This book is strongly recommended if you like to read about friendship or a gothic story or both and would rate this book 4 stars.
