The Red button is the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and Belle Endicott. The book tells us how they meet for a business partnership, fall in love, almost marry but are torn apart. An emotional and heart wrenching tale that would move you to tears but at the same time will give you many life lessons.

'Gaining knowledge was a way to become a world unto oneself, reliant on no one. During times of calamity, there had to be those to whom others would turn,' is an extract from the book which illustrates that knowledge is power. The one that possesses knowledge is always on the top and will be reliable. The one everyone would turn to for a solution to a problem giving him the position of a leader.

'Activity makes a man neither better nor worse. It merely reveals what he values. Do not chase your worth or seek to establish it. You own it already,' is a quote from the book which illustrates that any deed done by someone will neither make them a noble one nor a bad one. It simply displays their inner character.

'Business can be much like a war one must be prepared to fight,' is another quote from the book that illustrates that in business, we give it our all to win, just like we would in a war we either establish an empire or lose everything that we have worked for.

'We live in a hard world. It sneers at the poor and condemns the prosperous' is a quote from the book that describes that the poor are looked at with disgust, and the rich are deprecated. Neither classes are free from bias.

If you like reading prequels or historical fiction or a fan of A Christmas Carol or, simply looking for something good to read, here is your pick.
