Wind Borne

The book we shall be reviewing today is 'Wind Borne' penned by M.K Lorber. It is a short fantasy novel perfect for someone who wants to get immersed into a magical world yet does not want to get into any commitment by starting a series.

M.K Lorber is also known for her works like 'The curse of fae blood' and 'The unicorn diet'.

The world-building is good, and the character development is beautiful. The story unfolds from two points of view; Rhiya and Evander.

Rhiya is an undersized Fae who aspires to be a warrior someday by getting into the Spartan academy. When her clan leader asks her to go to the winter Solstice representing her clan, she is overjoyed to finally get a chance to prove herself.

Evander is an acclaimed General of the Northern Islands, in charge of the grand festival. It was supposed to be a simple task considering it to be just a party where the surrounding courts gather, which turns into a nightmare as he cannot stop thinking about the security risks posed by Rhiya.

If you are a fan of fantasy novels, but do not have enough time to read a complete series, pick this up.
