Book Lovers

The book we shall be reviewing today is 'Book lovers' penned by 'Emily Henry'. It is a contemporary fiction with an enemies-to-lovers trope.

Emily Henry is an American Author best known for her works 'Beach reads' and 'People we meet on vacation'.

Book lovers unfold from Nora's point of view, who works as a literary agent in New York. When she decides to go on a vacation with her sister, she encounters Charlie, her work nemesis, at each turn she takes. It is interesting to read the funny conversations between them as we journey through their lives.

The character development, as well as the world-building, is commendable. It takes us through a series of emotions all the while keeping it as realistic as possible.

"That’s the thing about women. There’s no good way to be one. Wear your emotions on your sleeve, and you’re hysterical. Keep them tucked away where your boyfriend doesn’t have to tend to them and you’re a heartless bitch,” is a quote from the book that tells us how society treats women, which needs to change.

"Just because not everyone gets you doesn't mean you're wrong," is a quote from the book that tells us that each and every one of us is unique, and that is what makes us special. Never change who you are for anyone.

“Maybe it’s possible to have more than one home. Maybe it’s possible to belong in a hundred different ways to a hundred different people and places,” is a quote from the book that says that we should not be afraid of change. We play different roles in the lives of people we know, some significant and some just as someone in the background. But no matter which roles you play, it is important to know, your mere existence makes a change.

“A reminder that there are things in life so valuable that you must risk the pain of losing them for the joy of briefly having them,” is a quote from the book that tells us that sometimes we never know what might happen next, but belief is what keeps us going. Sometimes it is better to learn from mistakes than to wonder what would have happened if we took that chance.

If you are looking for a good story, which would also make you chuckle, here is your pick.
