Reminders of Him

 

The book we shall be reviewing today is 'Remainders of him' penned by 'Colleen Hoover'. It is contemporary fiction which will take you on an emotional journey,  


Colleen Hoover is a renowned author known for her famous works 'It ends with us', 'Verity' , 'November 9', 'Without Merit', and 'Ugly Love'.





Remainders of him is narrated from two points of view: Kenna and Ledger. Kenna is a troubled young mother who hopes to get a second chance in life by reuniting with her daughter after serving five years in prison. The problem is nobody in her daughter's life is ready to forgive her and let her into her daughter's life.


Ledger is the only one that hasn't burned all the bridges with Kenna, but as their relationship gradually grows, it could end everything. They need to find a way to absolve past mistakes and build a future but is it even possible?

“No matter how much you love someone, you can still do despicable things to them," is a quote from the book that tells us that sometimes we don't even realise the weight of our actions and how they can affect someone else.

we wouldn’t choose to do those things for ourselves,” is a quote from the book that illustrates to us that when we station a person above us, we do things we never would even have thought of doing if it was for us. 


“I miss you all the time, even when we’re together,” is an extract from the book that describes how we can get lonely sometimes, even when we are not alone.
